I started off watching A Few Good Men–a classic. There are so many triple bills for which this film could be the solid core:
- Courtroom dramas, or legal films: 12 Angry Men, Presumed Innocent
- Classic Rob Reiner films: When Harry Met Sally, The Princess Bride
- Tom Cruise’s finest moments (yes he can act…sometimes): The Firm, Jerry Maguire
- And it even qualifies for a J.T. Walsh fest (Backdraft, Contact) or a Kevin Bacon linkup! (Murder In the First, Stir of Echoes)
Instead, I’ve gone for Magnum Force, to follow up on Monday’s foray into Clint Eastwoodland. Ah, back in the days when tough guy cops wore ties.

How do you do the Quick Reviews sidebar? Are the images yours? Is it an MTPlugin? I’d love to add something like that to one of my sites.

The quick reviews are done in a separate blog, and then pulled in to the templates for this blog with SSI includes. There is a little trickiness involved to do the star ratings done, book/film/food icons, and pictures/links for each item, though. I’ve been thinking about doing a little tutorial for it…maybe now’s the time!
If you ever decide to do this tutorial, I sure hope I know about it. Yours is one of the few sites so far that I’ve seen where I say, “Yes. I’d like something like that.”
