Ian Rankin – Doors Open

The writing isn’t witty enough to make it a decent heist caper, the characters aren’t sympathetic enough to make it a decent thriller, and the plot isn’t focused enough to make it a decent police procedural. It’s just mediocre all the way through.

i am used to picking up a rebus book and having difficulty in putting it down until i have finished it.conversely i am having difficulty in reading open doors.i am very dissappointed.it is very pedestrian, and i dont believe in any of the characters.rebus is very real and believable
    regards
