He&#8217;s learning so fast that I can&#8217;t keep up.<\/p>\n<p><u>Words He Could Say On Saturday<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Bye<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Ball<\/b> (he can spot one a mile off)<\/li>\n<li><b>Nana<\/b> (banana)<\/li>\n<li><b>Boo<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Cheek<\/b> (while pointing to his cheek, very cute)<\/li>\n<li><b>Shoe<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Row, row<\/b> (meaning, shake me all about)<\/li>\n<li><b>All gone<\/b> (OK, it sounds like <b>Caw Cah<\/b>, but it <i>means<\/i> all gone)<\/li>\n<li><b>Vroom, vroom<\/b> (when he wants to pretend to drive a car)<\/li>\n<li><b>Jes<\/b> (his teddy bear)<\/li>\n<li><b>Ta<\/b> (as in thanks &#8211; but he says it when giving things away)<\/li>\n<li><b>Mama<\/b> (still a bit vague on who this is, but he pronounces it clearly enough)<\/li>\n<li><b>Dada<\/b> (likewise)<\/li>\n<li><b>Yay<\/b> (usually accompanied by clapping)<\/li>\n<li><b>Up<\/b> (more <b>Uh<\/b>, but the meaning is clear)<\/li>\n<li><b>Down<\/b> (OK, <b>Duh<\/b>, but he knows what he means)<\/li>\n<li><b>[Uh-oh]<\/b> (very cute)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>New Words This Week<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Peas<\/b> (he caught sight of them cooking on the stove)<\/li>\n<li><b>[Noo-noo]<\/b> (his pronunciation is weak on this one)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Words he Understands<\/u><\/p>\n<p>All of the above, plus:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Go outside<\/b> (one of his earliest, and the signal to go stand by the front door.  If he were a dog, he&#8217;d have his leash in his mouth.)<\/li>\n<li><b>Nose<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Ear<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Eye<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Tummy<\/b> (he lifts his shirt and points, with a secret, confiding smile)<\/li>\n<li><b>Head<\/b> (he pats it)<\/li>\n<li><b>Mouth<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Knee<\/b> (very ticklish)<\/li>\n<li><b>Foot<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>No<\/b> (understands, yes.  obeys, no.)<\/li>\n<li><b>Big Hug<\/b> (he pats you on the back when he hugs you.  There, there&#8230;)<\/li>\n<li><b>Clap, clap<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Splash, splash<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>He doesn&#8217;t use them in the midst of a stream of private-language words the way his cousin Tom did.
